Located on GT Road at Kalyanpur, 16 km. West of Kanpur City On 1055 acres of land offered by the U.P. Government, this Institute started functioning in 1959 with 100 students and a small faculty. The Institute awards Bachelors, Masters, Doctoral degrees. Students are selected through the JEE or Joint Entrance Examination usually held In April-May. It engages in carrying out original research of significance and technological development at the cutting edge. The Institute not only celebrates freedom of thought, cultivates vision and encourages growth, but also inculcates human values and concern for the environment and the society.

Located at Hauz Khas in South Delhi, IIT Delhi is one of the 7 Institutes created as centers of excellence and for higher training, research and development in science, engineering and technology in India. It was Inaugurated In 1961 by Prof. Humayun Kabir and Dr. Zakir Hussain formally opened the buildings in 1968. Established in 1958 at Powai in North Mumbai . Today the Institute is one of the centers of academic excellence in India. IIT Guwahati, was established in 1994 and its academic programme began in 1995. The Institute has 11 departments covering all the major engineering and science disciplines. IIT Guwahati is located on a sprawling 285 hectares plot of land on the north bank of the river Brahmaputra around 20 Kms. From the heart of the city. The Institute also has students’s hostels, excellent faculty and staff quarters, and a magnificent guesthouse. Situated about 120 Km. West of Calcutta, Kharagpur can be reached in about 2.5 Hrs. from the Howrah Railway Station. It is also connected by direct train services to most major cities of the country and is 10-minute drive from the Kharagpur Railway Station. IIT Kharagpur was born in May 1950 and was formally inaugurated in August 1951 in Hijli, Kharagpur by Maulana Abul Kalam Azad. The proportion of undergraduate and postgraduate students is 2:1. IIT Roorkee is situated on the foothills of the Himalayas in Haridwar district in the newly formed state of Uttaranchal. It is the gateway to the pilgrim centers of Haridwar, Rishikesh etc. Roorkee is well connected to Delhi by rail and road. It is situated on national highway 58 and 73 and is on Amritsar-Howrah main rail route. The nearest airport is Dehradun. The campus Roorkee is spread over 146 hectares of landscaped greenery. Nestled within this are several heritage buildings, hostels, messes, hospitals, schools, playing area, banks etc. Established in 1846, it is a trendsetter in the area of education and scientific research. The Government of India established ISM in 1926 on the pattern of Royal School Of Mines, London to teach Mining and Applied Geology and thus provide manpower to the Indian Minerals Industry and concerned departments of the Government. In 1958 Petroleum Engineering and Applied Geo-Physics was also taken up. The School is situated about 3 Km.to the north of Dhanbad Railway Station on the Grand Chord of Eastern Railway. The Serene campus covers an area of 88 hectares, comprises academic buildings, students’ hostels and staff quarters and other Infrastructure facilities as well. The locational advantage of ISM is that it is situated at the core of the industrial base of the region bearing various minerals including coal. Entrance to ISM is through JEE or the Joint Entrance Examination conducted by the IITs.
